My client is a global FMCG business with an extremely rich history. It is a very recognised brand within the UK, that is only continuing to grow and develop.
They are looking for a Local Category Manager – General Indirects to join the Global Indirect Procurement team, which is made up of people based in the UK, China, Poland, India and Thailand.
This person will be responsible for developing and implementing category strategies to maximise value for money for a range of Indirect categories of spend. There will be a particular focus on Facilities Management, Marketing and operational categories applicable to warehouses, such as CAPEX and MRO.
This role will be working in a matrix organisation structure and will collaborate with key stakeholders including Manufacturing, Facilities, Supply Chain and Finance.
The successful candidate will ideally be degree-qualified, and CIPS would be a significant plus.
They will also have a proven track record of working in Indirect Procurement, ideally with specific experience within Operational categories. They will have a good understanding of the end to end procurement process, including negotiations, supplier and stakeholder relationship management and contract law.
They will also be willing and able to travel both within the UK and internationally when required, in particular to visit suppliers and take part in activities and training courses.
They are looking to pay c. £45k + bonus and benefits package.
