I am working with one of the UK’s most trusted retailers with a fantastic reputation and heritage!

 

We are looking for a Procurement Strategy Manager; to support the Procurement Strategy & Projects Manager to design and maintain the right systems, policies and processes that underpin all Procurement activity across the group, whilst leading change to improve functional efficiency and effectiveness.

 

You would be responsible for:

  • Building and maintaining great relationships with all buying teams and stakeholders
  • Maintaining a sound understanding of their internal procurement processes
  • Actively maintaining knowledge of industry best practice, becoming a recognized and trusted source of insight and solutions
  • Coaching and supporting category teams to maximize opportunity using procurement and provide flexible policies that enable them to make things happen at pace
  • Ensuring attention to detail to guarantee right first-time delivery
  • Establishing yourself as an expert within the department, role modelling their vision in all you do
  • Taking an agile and innovative approach to problem solving and project/ programme delivery, managing complexity, multiple priorities, uncertainty and ambiguity effectively

 

The successful candidates will need to have:

  • Strong understanding of strategic sourcing principles and best practice procurement process
  • Technical competence and understanding of procurement systems
  • Effective process management skills and ability to evaluate impacts and dependencies
  • Ability to form and build support for compelling business cases to support advancement of the function
  • The capability and willingness to constructively question and develop new solutions
  • Ability to lead change and be a champion for continuous improvement
  • Effective communications skills, able to explain complex ideas in a simple way

 

Experience working within Procurement isn’t essential, though it would be highly beneficial.

 

The location for these roles can be flexible – London, Midlands and Cheshire and will pay c. £55k + benefits package.
